Browhaus @ Holland Village

After being called “hairy” by many beauticians at different places (even the ones that don’t offer threading/tweezing, so you know they ain’t lying!), I’ve finally had enough and decided to go for it: do a full-face threading at Browhaus.

It’s a common knowledge that anything that involves tweezing / threading hurts like a mother, especially when you’re not used to it. i’ve obviously lost sense on my eyebrows as i tweeze them regularly (or try to), but other areas on my face would be receiving their first-ever threading. So i braced and prepared myself mentally for the pain as I made my way over to Holland Village.

A full-face threading consist of forehead, eyebrow shaping, side-burns, cheek, upper lip… basically all over your face where you might have hair, even the teensy weensy ones that aren’t so noticeable. My therapist (Komathy) was quick and the procedure perhaps lasted about 30 mins. So thanks to her i’m happy to report that they’re less painful than I had expected… except for the upper lip area. I literally had tears in my eyes as I got them done and silently prayed that it will be over soon T_T

The result was very nice – my face is definitely smoother and clean. It’s not a dramatic change since even though I was “hairy”, I wasn’t growing a beard or anything. they tell me I should get it done every 6 weeks or so and the hair will begin to get thinner. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but I will definitely be back for eyebrow tinting and threading =)
