Web 2.0
while i can’t exactly say i’ve grasped the meaning of “Web 2.0″ that everyone’s been talking about, i just thought i should record what i’ve noticed so far and what i *think* defines new web standard. so here goes. you know you’re web 2.0 compatible if you:
- read digg, reddit, slashdot or whatever the hell else is out there
- you read your news through RSS (honestly, if you haven’t, you should start)
- know or use on regular basis: twitter, youtube, flickr, delicio.us, last.fm
- use facebook even if you’re not a college student
- know what CSS is, or even better, have a website that is: XHTML/CSS compliant, is a blog that doesn’t talk about your daily life, uses Lucida Grande as the base font (what I use), is a domain that is your firstlastname.com and mostlikely powered by wordpress
- use iGoogle and other google products, and click on wikipedia resuts when you google stuff
- are familiar with the infamous mac vs. pc and the IE vs Firefox
- are up to date with the latest technology news, or at least google and apple news
