long extended weekend
i read plenty of Harry Potter. plenty is a relative word. i’m a slow reader and i get distracted a lot and easily, so i’m not that far into the book. must finish before the spoilers caught up to me! :( seriously though, am i the only one who didn’t finish the book within the first so-and-so hours of getting my hands on it?
today i skipped work and went to:
Huntington beach!! i went with nico. it was definitely cleaner than LA beach. i went in the water and it felt oh so good… that is until my top starts coming off. lol. luckily no one saw. there were plenty of people surfing, and there was actually a surfing competition on the other side of the beach. it was kinda scary trying to dodge all the surfers while i was in the water.
my stuff: harry potter book (of course), purse, white shirt, denim skirt and red hat. I read about 20 pages before i dozed off and let my chest burn. i discovered that i didn’t put enough sunscreen on my butt and my chest so they burnt more than other parts of my body. i look so funny right now.
where we went for lunch. had a guacamole burger and fries, which was just so-so. but then i ordered the shakes and it was the BEST strawberry shakes ever. sooo goood! but i didn’t take pictures of it. i need to remember that i have a camera now. it’s kinda hard to get into that habit.
on sunday, i went over to nico’s house and we watched Zodiac and Happy Feet. both are okay movie. Zodiac was interesting but pretty freakin long that i dozed off in the middle. Happy Feet has very good graphic but blah story. then i read harry potter while he was doing stuff on his laptop, and continued reading till 2am. i only stopped because i started dozing off while reading, so i decided i should just sleep because i can no longer understand anything i was reading (nico was beyond passed out at this point). anyways, i think i read over 200 pages that day, which is plenty fast for me.
we also went to Souplantation, which is like my favorite buffet because i enjoy soups. but the best thing from Souplantation is not their soups, it’s their blueberry muffin. I LOvE them! :D i ate three of them that day. the best blueberry muffin ever… omgosh. and then they had this ice cream machine that was like in the dorms, but they had this mini cone thing the size of two of my thumb. it was sooo cute i wanted to take pics of it, but again i forgot and ate inhaled everything instead.
okay, so that was my extended weekend. i’m sad because it’s prolly the last time i’ll get to see nico for a long while, but glad that i was able to this weekend. tomorrow it’s back to normal life. sigh~
