Dreamy Lunar Eclipse
how cool is this? i LOVE the outer space!! so mysterious… so beautiful. so full of endless possibilities and exciting potentials waiting to be discovered.
when i was in third grade, i really wanted to be an astronaut. the first time i read in my science textbook that Venus and Mercury sometimes appear with the sun as it rises at dawn, i sleep walked in the middle of the night to the window, and stared at the sky. when my parents asked me what the hell i was doing, i told them (while still sleeping at that time) i was looking for the planets. it wasn’t even anywhere close to sunrise at that time… :P
when i was in fifth grade, during lunch break i would go to the school library (which wasn’t as nice as the libraries here… i was still in indonesia) and find books about planets and read them cover to cover. and then i used to LOVE sailor moon solely based on the fact that they’re all named after planets. well except sailor moon herself… and i don’t really count the ones that comes after the original sailor moon. my favorite was sailor mercury because i always liked Mercury as a planet.
i guess that’s the basis of my love for sci-fi related shows. i love the idea that human being will one day be advanced enough to explore the outer space freely, and even inhabit planets other than earth. i get sooooo excited when i think about these kinda stuff. and i love the x-files because it caters to my belief. i believe wholeheartedly there’s another life out there. i don’t obsess over it like Mulder does, nor do i care enough to prove their existence or think about the science behind it, but i truly embrace the idea and believe in it without a doubt.
okay, i should stop here before i sound even crazier or geekier than i already am. but if anyone ever wonder what my passion in life is, that’s one of them.
and don’t forget the meteor shower on the 12th! :D
