this is coming in the mail

bought this on a whim last night. well that’s only half true because i’ve been looking at this laptop for weeks, but i definitely wasn’t planning on getting it last night! i figured… 1) this week’s free shipping period has just started 2) i’ve been doing quite a bit of research 3) Sony isn’t going to lower their price more than this 4) if there’s anything i wanna splurge in, it’s a damn laptop. so i went for it.

he (yes, a he) is a Sony VAIO CR series in Dove (white). For awhile i was set on Sangria (deep red) one, but changed my mind at the last minute as i was ordering. i like how its just one color… classy and simple. plus i have been lusting on the white macbooks for awhile, but not too crazy about having to get used to a new OS as i am perfectly comfortable with windows.

i haven’t decided on a name, but it will be a BSG call sign like my other tech gadgets. i’m thinking… Apollo?

i splurged on processor but opted for the lowest settings on the hard drive and ram because i figured 1GB is plenty (+ easy to upgrade) and i already have Starbuck, my 320GB external. of course i’m downright broke right now as this thing costed me over a month’s rent, but i’m super happy and that’s all that matters… right? :) life is a lot sweeter if you know and go for what you want. hopefully not at the expense of others, but things happen. okay i am rambling.

anyways, i helped Kat build her new bed last night, and we officially hate IKEA furnitures. it was pretty but so freakin hard to build!! although this is prolly because we tried to do it with skimpy tools from rite aid… eitherway my hands hurt right now so she better slept like a baby last night. she also got a really nice sheet + quilt cover, and a couple new lamps to decorate her room. it looks really sweet. i’m jealous.
