Resolution & Invitation

Date: Monday, January 14, 2008 Categories: kismet, photos

I know, kinda late, but I’ve finally made my resolutions. so, here they are:

  1. attempt to be presentable. don’t wear sweatshirts. wear make up (at least foundation and eyeliner) when i go out. dress nicely.
  2. improve dental hygiene. floss, scrape tongue and use mouth wash everyday. i know, gross.
  3. wash face everyday!! i get lazy and don’t wash face for like a couple days.. and then complain when i get acne -_-
  4. save save save. stop spending on every thing that i *want* instead of *need*
  5. put on lip balm when lips are dry. my lips tend to get dry and instead of putting lip balms on it, i pick on them. bad. i heard burt’s bees or whatever it’s called is a good brand.
  6. be nicer to other people. smile when someone talks to me. be nicer on the phone as well. say hi to people when i see them. stop acting like you’re better than everyone else…

pretty realistic, no? I actually I intend to keep these. so i didn’t put anything about exercising cause i already know i won’t keep those :P

Anyways, i went to michael’s yesterday and made invitation for my company dinner party:

basically i bought a ruby metallic paper (in thick card-like material), gold vellum paper, yellow 6.5″x4.75″ envelopes and gold ribbons. pretty simple huh? the gold vellum is a LOT prettier in real life since they are sparkly and shimmery with vivid color, not pale like above. i’m disappointed the picture didn’t show that

then I cut the ruby paper and the gold vellum to those sizes (had to trim the edge of the vellum so that the ruby paper shows and then tied it up with the gold ribbons.

i used some left over to tie up some of the envelopes as such. looks huge here, but the envelopes are actually one of those tiny ones. about 1/4 of a regular paper.

oh, and i used MS word to print out the names straight on to the envelopes. i just loOove the font. it’s Chopin Script for the scripty ones and Book Antiqua for the serif ones.

Kat helped me pick out the papers, so much thanks to her too :P
