my wonderful weekend
Some time last week, Nico texted me saying he had surprises for me. naturally i was excited to find out what it is, but he won’t tell me. when i went over on Saturday, he told me he was going to take me to a place where “we become enemies”, where i will “feel the revenge for the pain that i’ve caused him”, and kept going on and on about this the WHOLE ride there, which i have to admit got me pretty scared (haha!)
finally, when we almost got to the place he made me close my eyes… and when i opened it… guess where we were?! he took me to MINI GOLF! lolololol how cute is that? :D

so, in retaliation to his pep-talks, i said that i have a brother who plays golf for USC, and thus i must have *some* golf talent in my blood.

but yeah, turns out golf isn’t hereditary. i got owned pretty much. that lousy 60 on top was my score. he got a 48 with a few hole-in-one’s -_-.
after that we went to the beach for dinner, where i saw the most adorable 10 months old golden retriever!!! Nico asked the owner if we could pet the dog. he was so cute!! omgggg! so big for a 10 months old dog but golden retrievers grow fast. when I petted the dog, he looked at me with the cutest glassy eyes ever. it was then i decided that no matter what happens i will one day own a golden retriever to call my own :). i really like the kind with lighter coat and rounder face.
when we came back from dinner, we proceeded to pass out cause we were both super tired. then, around 2AM, i woke up to a really loud bang of a car crash followed by screaming expletives. i wasn’t sure if i dreamed it so i asked Nico if he heard it too, which he did (pretty amazing considering he sleeps like a rock). he went out to see if anyone needed help and i followed shortly after. the crash pretty much woke most of us up and we watched through the window. the driver was apparently making a right turn and crashed on to the outer fence/wall of the house across the street. fortunately no one got hurt from that accident, though the driver is probably in serious trouble right now (he was a teenager and probably had been drinking that night). the next morning we saw that he pretty much took down a section of the brick wall (!!)
anyway, today i spent the day playing The World Ends With You. I got to the final boss (GM of the 2nd chapter) but i guess need to level up a little to take him down. this game is fun!! there are plenty of mysteries and a few twists to the storyline that kept me interested.
ohhh i almost forgot. Nico’s second surprise for me was two volumes of Kingdom Heart manga! it stayed true to the game, which i really like, and added comical personalities to the characters that couldn’t be conveyed through the game. it was a good manga :D
