Noms in 2009

Happy 2009 everyone! :) hope this year will be better than last year, etc etc… insert other cliche greetings here.

ANYWAY! i spent the first day of 2009 with N’s family and having yummy scrumptious dinner with everyone. i hung out with the cousins and played Rockband 2. it’s fun. i’m easing my way into the hard mode but mostly i’m pretty comfy with medium.

On the very last day of 2008, Kat came by since she wanted chili cheese fries at Big TOmy’s. so i sat with her and shared her chili cheese fries. she also got chili cheese dog and orange bang to wash it down. the chili cheese fries was quite good! haven’t had a good chili cheese fries since my days in the UCLA dorms.. at puzzles :) GENEroUS portion too! no wonder she wanted to share them with me :P

Then today we went to Hataka Ramen SHinsengumi at Gardena. this ramen is pretty damn delicious! the broth is the most flavorful ramen broth i’ve ever had. you can customize your ramen by picking the level of saltyness, oiliness and the type of noodle (hard or soft). i picked medium on all of them and got the wonton topping:

yummm… their portion is just right too. usually i find ramen places giving too much broth and too large of a bowl, but not this place. i came out feeling full but not OVERLY full. the service was very polite and efficient. no wonder a bunch of people waited by the door even before the place opens for dinner @ 6:00 pm!
