April Fools

So I know April Fools hasn’t started yet in the states and I don’t want to be spoiling everyone’s fun by telling you the hoax articles i’ve found so far, but I have to say, i’m pissed at Smashing Magazine (in a loving, endearing way, cause it’s still my favorite online mag) for getting my hopes up regarding Internet Explorer 8.1!!

I hadn’t expected it to be an April Fools joke since it’s about a day early for that, so I read the article with delight and “oooh”‘s and “aaah”‘s for the excellent-sounding browser from Microsoft (!). I thought, “wow, Microsoft finally did something about their crap of a browser? AND they actually thought about us designers / developers who have to deal with cross-browser compatibility? surely this cannot be real!” but believed it anyway, cause hey… it’s Smashing Magazine!

it wasn’t until i read further down in the comments that I discovered the article was a hoax. and along with it comes my hope crumbling down for IE ever being a browser of choice for me.

ANYWAY! GREEK has started their new season!! i’m quite excited :D it’s my only guilty pleasure other than Gossip Girl, so don’t hate. i’ve missed Casey, Cappie and the rest of the crew
