Photo Update!

Mmmm.. sometimes I think I like salmon because their color is so rich and vibrant! they make such a great food photo object.

Anyway, I had lunch at Sushi Groove today. It was good.. but nothing too special. I like the portion though! I left feeling full but not too uncomfortably so. What I ordered: Sunshine Roll pictured above. I gotta have my Salmon sashimi. It was a toss up between this and the Salmon Sashimi Bibimbap but I wasn’t very hungry so I went for this one instead. Btw, their “bibimbap” is actually not the korean dish. i guess they just borrowed the concept of it and put rice on heated stone pot with some meat toppings and called it bibimbap.

my sister had this Flaming Salmon roll. it claims to be spicy, but actually wasn’t. it was quite similar to mine but better! rawr. the salmon is lightly torched and served with sweet soy sauce. i stole some of hers :)

Also shared something called Extravaganza Roll (no pics of this) with the table. It was actually a mix of rainbow roll and Philadelphia roll with the Yellowtail and Salmon Sashimi + cream cheese. That one was decent but the most pricey on the roll menu.

This conversation came up during the lunch: Where does California roll gets its name? the answer is, because it was invented in California. yep, this sushi is not Japanese. I had read about this somewhere before, so I knew why!

Ogura (Red Bean) Tempura Ice cream that I shared with my sis. was kinda a disappointment as it was just bread + tempura skin filled with ice cream. I never had one before, so I don’t know what to expect.

My dad and bro as they left for Korea last weekend. They are in italy right now. my dad is actually (kindof) SMILING in this pic! I misssss themmmmm :(
