NYDC Cafe @ Grand Indonesia

Date: Wednesday, October 21, 2009 Categories: dining out

I went to church last Sunday with my sister, and we went over to Grand Indonesia afterwards. The original plan was to find some korean food to eat, but Grand Indonesia is so huge that I couldn’t find the place I wanted to try! My heels were hurting my feet and I was starving, so we settled for the first place that caught our eyes.. NYDC Cafe.

I have to admit I wouldn’t have picked this place if they didn’t have 20% discount for Bank Mega card holder, but I’m glad we went there! The place is nice with black and white modern decoration. We were seated at a small coffee table with two single couches with this art deco-ish pattern.

NYDC Cafe

Yeah… my right hand IS permanently attached to my blackberry!

Elephanccino

Shared an Irish Cream Elephanccino, which you might have guessed from its name is a HUGE iced coffee.

Oven Baked Pasta Three Amigos

Waiter says their most popular dish is their oven baked pasta, so we ordered “Three Amigos”. and it was SO damn good! has meatballs, ham, penne pasta and several types of cheese (I think). A++ would order again!!

Party of Five

Now this is why I should not be allowed to order when I’m starved. I convince myself I can finish everything and over order. We shared the sampler plate (called “Party of Five”) which basically has all the heart attack inducing appetizer you can think of – Mozarella stick, onion rings, chicken nugget, fries and BBQ wings. everything was good (and oh so greasy) except for the BBQ wings. it was rather yucky, actually :x

Anyway, I would definitely come back again for the oven baked pasta. Just next time someone please remind me that I don’t need to order everything that looks “big” on the menu…
