Shoukudo Japanese Food Bazaar

Date: Sunday, January 31, 2010 Categories: food, photos

Last weekend(ish) I finally checked out the Shoukudo Japanese Food Bazaar with my friend G. It’s this food court type of thing at the basement of Raffles City Mall that serves solely Japanese food.

When you first enter the place, they give you a card that will be scanned at each stall you order food from. then at the end when you’re done, you just go up to the cashier and pay your meals with that card. They also give you a “reserved” sign for your table so that you’re free to roam around the place and not having to worry about someone stealing your table while you’re away. easy and convenient!

The food itself to me was pretty good, however a bit pricey. I spent about SGD30 that night but that’s probably b/c aside of my omurice hamburg entree I also ordered a plate of salmon sashimi (as you can see pictured above) and a can of Asahi. yea, i ate a lot that night.

This was taken just this past Friday at a popular hang out place called Clarke Quay. They have all these sakura looking decoration, presumably for the chinese new year which is coming up on valentine’s this year. I had dinner at (yet another) Japanese place called Tampopo. I’ve actually been there before, at the Takashimaya branch.

The following pics were taken in Jakarta:
