The Hand Burger @ Raffles City Mall

Date: Saturday, February 6, 2010 Categories: food

Visited The Hand Burger with a few of my friends today for dinner. It’s a gourmet burger place at the basement of Raffles City Mall, which is located right by the City Hall MRT station.

After pondering over the menu, which consisted of some yummy and unique sounding burgers like tandoori chicken, beer battered dory, duck leg confeti, prawn, etc I chose to go with The Works (and so did most of the others who were with me).

“The Works” which consisted of bacon, onion rings, sunny side up eggs, sirloin patty, mushroom, lettuce and tomatoes. It was so huge I didn’t know how to begin attacking it…

All their burgers are served with a choice of straight cut fries or chilled stuffed tomato. I chose the latter since I figured the burger itself is already enough artery clogging for the whole day. I’m happy to report that it turned out to be a good choice! the tomato were fresh and stuffed with equally fresh coleslaw, and I loved the dressing they poured over the tomato.

I love how they gave you a really good knife to aid your burger-feasting. I was able to clean cut the (super thick) burger and tomato in half with very little effort, as you can see above.

The burgers itself are mostly about $14-18, and the meal set us back about $20 per person after drinks and what not. I was practically stuffed to the brim after that, so yup.. I’d say it was a very good meal at that price!
