Zen @ Marine Cove

Date: Sunday, May 30, 2010 Categories: dining out

Yesterday was my second time at Zen, a sort of asian fusion restaurant located at Marine Cove in the east. Like with EWF, on my first visit there I didn’t bring my camera nor take any pics, so I’m glad I brought my pink camera out this time around!

We got a huge bowl of chicken laksa to share. I’m not usually a laksa person, but their laksa is damn good!

So on my first visit there, I basically fell in love with their truffle mashed potatoes. So I purposely ordered an entree that comes with it on the side. I had the spicy green mango chicken before, which was good, but this time i tried the suckling fried chicken

yummmyyyy… crispy and barely any bones so it was very easy to eat (hence the name, because it was prepared to resemble suckling pig dish).

and then, my favorite part of the meal. TRUFFLE MASHED POTATOES!

so smooth and silky and oh so delicious. did they put crack in it? is “truffle” euphemism for crack? quite possibly so, cause i always seem to be craving it. but maybe that’s just me and my love for all things potatoes … ;)

I’m hungry now. =P The food looks really yummy!

    What’s laksa, by the way?
