Fat Boys @ Mohamed Sultan

Date: Monday, August 2, 2010 Categories: dining out

A few months ago when I first moved to Singapore, my Publicis coworkers took me along to one of the late night dinner rendezvous after work. They only kept telling me it’s this burger bar that’s fairly new, and at the time I didn’t even know what area they were taking me to.

The place was Fat Boys at upper Thompson Rd. We missed their last order dead line though, since we came a little after 11pm and ended up eating Teo Chew porridge at a nearby hawker center.

Fast forward to last Sunday, I asked Will if he wanted to grab some dinner. He mentioned wanting to try Fat Boys a few days earlier, so we met up at the Mohamed Sultan branch that were just opened recently.

I got the Swiss and Shroom burger, which as you should have already guessed is burger patty with swiss cheese and mushroom.

I loved the fact that the fries are thick cut! That’s how I like my potatoes :)

Other than that, I think they are just alright. The patty were juicy and thick but a bit bland, and there isn’t anything special about the mushroom and cheese. I much preferred Carls Jr burgers over this (which btw is my favorite burger chain EVER).
