The Rotisserie @ Telok Ayer Rd

If you didn’t know already i’m a huge fan of rotisserie chicken. Whenever they serve one at UCLA dining halls I would always get a piece. or two. So you can imagine how happy I am this place opened RIGHT DOWN THE STREET from my office! appropriately named “The Rotisserie”, they specialize in.. well rotisserie and grilled chicken!

I only glanced at the menu briefly because I already knew what I wanted, but pretty much everything here is chicken. Off the top of my head, I remember seeing rotisserie chicken (half or quarter of chicken), chicken roll, chicken burger… and they all come with a choice of two salads, mashed potatoes or chips (seasoned fries, not potato chips).

Generous portion of quarter rotisserie chicken with side of two salads. I took this picture with blackberry since I didn’t want to bring the iPhone around. I didn’t know we were going to have a good lunch!

Anyway, what I love other than the fact that the chicken was tender and juicy is that their choice of salad were very decent: Pasta salad, Chicken caesar, roasted vegetables, and bacon + egg potato salad (the last two are pictured above). I had a bite of my coworker’s chips and they were also very nicely done. What’s more is that the prices are quite affordable at S$8.50 – 12.50!

So if you work / live nearby, I’d totally recommend this place. They’re literally only a couple days old and they made sure everything runs smoothly. I also want to try the desserts next time! and definitely more salad :9

I finally got a decent picture of their food! I did a take away today for lunch, of my usual quarter chicken and two sides of salad. Still as good as ever :) They increased their price slightly recently (the above costs S$9.50 now, used to be S$8.50).

I’ve also tried their fish and chips and it was one of the best I’ve ever had! I may or may not be inebriated when I had it though :P

I tried their Burger and it was delicious! Generous portion for S$11 too. Tip: ask for gravy on the side for the fries. they are heavenly! you could ask them to drizzle it over your fries too if you like soggy fries (and there ain’t nothin’ wrong with that)
