I love you, ‘proper bed’

Date: Sunday, April 3, 2011 Categories: home

after countless comments from friends about my small single bed, i finally got myself a proper bed! that is, one that is not kiddie sized :P

I got them second hand from a craigslist. At first I was a bit irked at the idea of getting a used mattress but i met the girl today and she seems nice (also a californian and graduated from UCSD) plus the mattress is practically new and stain free! so i took it on the spot. it costed me $375 + $40 delivery fee, and I am now a happy clam. the girl told me she got it for $900 a little over a year ago and only selling it b/c the new place she moved in had a bed already.

I also bought a 310 tc white fitted sheet (GÄSPA - $49) and a matress protector (SKYDDA – $15.90) from IKEA. i was contemplating on getting a new queen sized quilt + cover + pillow cases + more pillows as well, but maybe i’ll save that for next month. enough frivolous spending for this month! =X I had my eye on this white quit cover with white flowers embroidered on it with a sheen material, so you can only see the flowers on certain lights. can’t seem to find that on the website though.
