Tanjong Beach Club @ Sentosa

Date: Sunday, October 16, 2011 Categories: dining out

My friend Christina (whom I also went to Phuket with last year) is in Singapore with her business school friends from Spain, so I hung out with them this weekend. She landed around 4pm and we spent the rest of the day catching up. I was actually pretty hungover when I met up with her because I was drinking at a BBQ earlier that day, but thankfully got a second wind as the night progresses!

Christina told me we were on Spanish time, which means dinner at 10pm and party from 1am till 5am (which i find absolutely bizarre), and that’s exactly what we did at Filter that night.

On Sunday (today) we checked out Tanjong Beach Club at Sentosa today for a chill out day by the beach. This is actually my second or third time at TBC but I’ve never tasted their food… until now!

Tanjong Burger ($24) – A bit pricey for a burger but oh so good! And everything in Sentosa is pricey anyway. I love the cheddar cheese and the thick patty. It was the perfect hangover killer. The fries was not anything surprising, but I like fries so it was good. I want to try the black truffle fries next time!

Where else can you find people drinking champagne in the pool… and kids playing water volley on the other end?

I learned that europeans don’t shake hands when they greet each other. they do the quick kiss right left cheek even when you don’t really know each other. and that in Finland the sun sometimes doesn’t set for DAYS during summer (and vice versa for winter). weird stuff.

Pretty Sunset to end the crazy weekend. I’ve been going out a lot lately and not taking enough pictures :/ a shame because I went to some interesting places almost every weekend this past month!
