La Focaccia @ Rome, Italy

My creative director Subha recommended a place to eat in Rome (see my Rome entry here). We’re super thankful for that because La Focaccia ended up being one of the best meals we had for the entire three days in Rome!

Cheap white house wine! Came in a cute jug too!

For starters, we shared an eggplant with mozarella and tomato sauce. We had our doubts with the restaurant because it was pretty empty when we first got there at 7pm, but whatever doubt we had was immediately forgotten once we tasted this dish. It was really good!

Simple mozarella and ham pizza. You can’t go wrong with this, and they didn’t.

Bacon with truffle oil linguine – the star of the night if you ask me. I didn’t expect it to be so good, but it was really, really good. Probably one of the best pastas I’ve ever had, ever. They were generous with the bacon and definitely did not hold back the truffle oil.

La Focaccia is located pretty central at the heart of rome (close to Pantheon and Piazza Navona), so it’s easy to get to. And you definitely should, while in Rome.
